Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to express about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," shared Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
